In “The Crown”, isn’t it incorrect the way that President & Mrs Kennedy are depicted as not using correct protocol when greeting the Queen

President Kennedy’s father had been ambassador to the Court of St James. The president had spent part of his youth in the UK while his father was ambassador. So, wouldn’t President Kennedy and his wife, the First Lady, have known to greet the Queen as “Your Majesty” with a curtsy by Mrs Kennedy and Prince Philip with “Your Royal Highness”, instead of “Your Grace” as is depicted in The Crown (to the disdain of courtiers)? Did this protocol faux pas actually occur?

There is protocol in greeting royalty by country. One person exempt from that protocol is the president of the US. Now you know why Obama embarrassed himself and the US bowing to an Arab sheik.
