Since uploading consciousness to a computer is theoretically possible, what will it mean for religion once when this becomes achievable

and that is the difference between theoretically possible.....and reality. make believe, lets pretend, put on your imagination hats boys and girls

Even if uploaded onto a computer, consciousness will only reflect what the programmer has included in the program. In order for this to effect religion, or faith, one would have to include a sense of Biblical morality, and the ability to reason and make choices based upon that morality. It will otherwise not impact religion in any way.

Computers have no emotions. You cannot program a computer with emotions. Humans use emotions to help make decisions. Thats something computers can never do. You cannot reduce emotions to binary computer code.
